Info need about a Rochester carb

Carby Kits

I can't tell you by the Rochester # , post a pitcure of the old dirty carby and we'll know .

That kit fits most Rochester 'B' series carbys from 195? to 1962 or so .

This number is the replacement bowl and fits 50-59 all 6cyl except 261.:)

No one here wastes much time looking for the correct , ' Just So ' 261 carby , it's not necessary .

BTW : the same rebuild kit fits the 261 carby .

The top picture is an odd angle so it looks different but it's the same internals as the passenger car autochoke one shown right below .

I hope you're now well on your way to carby health .

Remember to soak the accellerator pump plunger in fresh motor oil for 24 hours before trying to install it .

The mooks who ' worked ' on my '49 before I bought it , couldn't figure out how to insert it into it's well so they trimmed off the leather skirt with a razor blade then wondered why it had a worse flat spot than most babbit pounders do :rolleyes:
