Yes, Sachse Rod Shop makes them. Be prepared to do a little work to them, mine came unfinished IMO. So I had to add some kitty hair to it before priming. Also Brothers and Yogi's sells them which both companies get them from Sachse. Rico
HA!! Somewhere, on one of my doors, are some paw prints from one of my cats who thought it would be cool to hop up on my door and walk across the clear coat I had just sprayed. ~cats.
Guess you will think about that cat everytime you see that print, lol for me cats are my favorite animal. I had 3 in my house before my late TomTom past away Dec,28. It's been very hard on me with his passing, but I'm glad I had him for the past 3 years since he's been sick because he was a great kitty cat. Been trying to work on my truck to keep my mind busy, I miss him very much and I know he would want me to finish that truck no matter how crazy the body work gets me.
Hello, progress report. Been getting the truck ready for paint. I also installed a wood bed floor in and now I'm taking the truck apart. Here's a few pic's of parts on the side almost ready and the bed off the frame. This sanding seems never ending. Right now preping to 320 once it's all at that point then I'll start the wet sanding. I'm also having to build stands, my painter wants everything off the ground to paint. Hopefully it will be ready by the end of the month.
Outstanding!!! I can't wait to see it painted up and back together! It is a lot of work, but it's the only way to go, right?
Progress report, everything is under coated and all wet sanded and ready for paint so it's going to the paint booth on Friday. Will put pic's up after my baby is in new colors
Also installed sway bars this weekend, still need to bend the arms out and use extensions for the heim joints, but they should work good
Awesome stuff!!! Thanks for the (photo) update! I can imagine how stoked you are to get this truck in paint! More pictures coming soon I would imagine?
Everything is at the body shop. I'm going there at 4:30pm to get everything setup in the booth and then cleaned up. Will be there probably until midnight watching the painter do his thing. Can you feel the excitement? Lol. After 2 long years with 8 months of body work it's finally getting painted.
This calls for a drink! I am happy for you, Rico! And it's happening on a Friday night? Even better! I can't wait to see the after photos, and then of course, the assembly photos!
Lighting, lol. This is the kind of color that will change in different lights. There's blues, greens and reds in this color. I'm going to the body shop this morning to take Everything out of the booth
Thank you Steve, it's a long process as you know. I've been color sanding all week and I'm getting the rest of the truck painted this weekend. I still have a long ways to go, but I'm starting to see the finish line.
