Well ; You Know What I Always Say.......

Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy :p

Walking is great and I miss it ~ I used to walk over 3 Mile each day @ work , I
even managed to get management approval for this and for a while , some of the shop mechanics and machinists came along too ~ then they dropped out but an alky. Storekeeper II would tag along and run inside the liguor store and drink a 40 Oz'er as we walked.... or puff reefer  wierd .

Eventually I couldn't keep it up during the summer's heat then each fall it took longer & longer for me to begin again... it's been two years now .

    My favorite "drinking" quote:

It's attributable to Frank Sinatra and goes something like this: "I feel sorry for the person who doesn't drink! Because when they wake up in the morning, that's the best they're going to feel". Myself? By noon tomorrow, I'll feel like a million after taxes!!

Just come back from holidaying in Florida and have put on a stone in weight in 17 days, its not just the size of the meals its all the salt thats put on them as well, theres more on the food than we put on our roads in winter. The restants even have seats in different sizes XL even XXL or is that just a bench seat? You can always tell which are the Brits over there they use a knife & fork together and dont ask to take home the leftovers in a doggy bag, but I have worked out why Americans never use a knife and fork together its all to do with you having auto boxes theres no gear leavers and no roundabouts Present company accepted of course

We do have Roundabouts in the U.S. , mostly in the East .

They're usually called Traffic Circles here ~ I love 'em .

    I just gotta say this...

YOU GUY HAVE GOT YOUR ROAD SYSTEM SORTED

Driving in Florida was a dream dudes, cant believe that i was in epcot watching the firework display along with half a million other people then 20 mins later im in a restaurant ordering half a cow for dinner!!!! no traffic at all:eek: over here our roads are soon to be re named parking lots, we have a stadium over here called Wembley, the home of football they call it, i used to work there 10 yrs ago before they knocked it down and re built it, they have spent between 1.5 and 2 billion dollars re building the place (scandalous fraud) and when i worked there it took the best part of 3 hours to get 70,000 people out of there and onto the freeway 5 miles down the road:( and guess what...... it still does:eek: all that money and you cant get in or out of the place, you guys wouldnt have let that happen, not just Disney but the whole of florida is designed to get around real easy, we drove from Kissimmee down to Naples one day and even tho we had sat nav i looked at a map just to get my bearings, the map showed head west on a straight road then bear left then a dead straight road 200 miles all the way there apart from a little s bend half way down. I thought it was a simplified map but hell no! the road went straight on down, so much so that i was worried the steering would have rusted up solid by the time i got to the s bend bit:D

    Awesome roads dudes:cool:

Boy, Nate, do I ever relate to you in a change in activity. Since I've become a telephone dialer and parts chaser a few pounds are easier to pick up than a hooker in the Ft Worth stockyard area. Here's a pic of half the crew discussing strategy on the 37 business coupe and I can see the old fart with the hole in his hairdo is definitely a bit chubbier. Knees limit walking but looks like time to oil up the chain on the old bicycle. Neil, my wife is spending her last two days in the UK near Cambridge, at Ely, and should be easy to spot, she's the 4ft 9inch 82 pound "fat american".

    Yo Nate,

Two of my favorite quotes:D I believe the "beer" one is attributable to Benjamin Franklin. The "blessed mother of acceleration" is Dan Akroyd from "The Blues Brothers" isn't it?

    Quotes & Fat

    Well ;

I've been using " Blessed Mother Of Accelleration ~ DON'T FAIL ME NOW ! " since 1972 or so....

The beer one I dunno . I don't actually drink much but I like the whole beer worship culture thing .

I have quite a few quotes and Maxims I use daily & now after these many years I hear others using them so I guess sooner or later other strange persons come up with the same ideas I do.... :)

I have a bicycle too , it's getting rusty but I find that walking is still good , I get bored just walking the 'hood (plus too many stray bullets) so I like to go to my favorite junkyards with a floppy sunhat and walk for hours and hours..

That's how I found the vintage vacuum gauge I put in my '49 ~ it was in the chopped up dashboard of a 1961 brand 'F' F500 Bobtail in the Long Beach Ca.
Pick-A-Part , Waaayyyyy in the back behind the junked boats , trailer and assorted scrap ~ it took a goodly bit of climbing to get ot it (more excersise) bit was worth all the trouble as soon as I spotted the multi-colored gauge face peeking out from underneath all the house paint they'd painted the truck with :D . only $3.00 too !

So , I have a Digital camera , I was supposed to take pix of what ? .
