Boating In Old Trucks Looks very nice ! . Back in the early 1970's a co worker took his Grandfather's '64 Chevy to the lake and was in the boat when he noticed the rig and trailer were rapidly going backwards into the lake.... . Always use a chock block when parking older rigs with the back wheels in the water as the greasy brake dust floats about and then soaks the brake shoes , rendering the park brake useless.... I knew this as a child , he didn't , I remember looking at the dash gauges still 1/2 full of green lake water the next day and asking what he planned to do , " nothing Nate ~ it's just an old truck and it's too much work to take the dash apart " . I'm glad he wasn't _My_ Grand Son .
