Hi everybody the new guy here!!!!!

I'm looking for information about leaf springs for my truck the current set that I have now

Width is 2.5"
Fronts are 44" long
Rears are 51" long
RS5000s are 17" w/truck unloaded

I don't think these are the stock springs due to the fact that the alignment pins in the rear are about 2.5" to far foward and the wheels&tires will not line up in the center in the wheel wells if used HELP!!!!!!!! I would like to upgrade the entire suspension system

Any info would help (menaing I don't know jack about them)

What you have might be oringinal equipment, I have a 1962 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4, my front springs are 44" also, I was looking at some new springs with more lift for larger tires, but have not been able to find them in 44' length. I can get replacement springs and spring helpers. My rear wheels do not line up with the center of the rear wheel wells. My truck is original. I thought about putting a later model chassis under my body, but I have a almost bullet proof drive train now. Dana 44 front and a Dana 60 rear with 456 gears,33x12.5x16.5 ATs. I will check my springs this weekend and let you know. Truck has stock suspension and running gear, except for new Rancho 5000 shocks all around.

Is the "Rock crusher" T-case still in the truck??????? there will be 3 drive shafts!!!! and how high is the truck..... I have 5000s on mine and I dropped about 4" of lift so I could get it into the garage... and the shocks are 17" with the truck unloaded.....

Yes, it's the original T-case (Commomly called a Divorced T-case, located in the center of the truck. It's a carry over from the early NAPCO design. One input shaft from trans, two output shafts. The drawback to this design is getting your truck "high-centered" on the T-case if your aren't careful!

Hey '63...

I'll have to check the length but the width is 2.5" on the front and rear. Five leafs on the front, six on the rear. Ground clearance on the front diff is approximately 8.5", 9.0" at the rear with new BFG All-Terrain TA KO's (31-10.50 on 15x8 Chevy steel rims).
 
Thanks for the info..... When your truck is sitting unloaded what is the length of your shocks? mine are 17"... I would like to find out what the stock height at the rocker panels were.....

Hey '63,

Shock length, measured from the center of the top and bottom mounting
bolts are: Front 16", Rear 22". The shocks are new Rancho 5000s, RS5119 on front, RS5143 on rear.

The height from the ground to the outer most portion / edge of the rocker panel(not the lip on the bottom) on the drivers side where the front fender meets the door is: 19-3/4". This is with new BFG All-
Terrains, 31-10.50x15 tires.

Ground clearance on the front differential is 8-3/4", at the rear it is 9".
 
REtranfer case

I see you guys have been talking about the transfer case on your truck I have been trying to figure out what mine is it has what look like more than one place to put rear dive shaft anyone ever see this???? and can someone tell me what model and brand it is.
