As I am new to the Classic Chevy word, I have a few questions. How reliable and how would the group rate the Powerglide trans for 1966? What kind of gas mileage would I expect to get with a 327? A 283? How reliable are these two engines? Any advantages/disadvantages of the hydralic clutch, front torsion bar system? Sorry for all the "elementary" questions, but I was hoping this would help me determine which year to buy in a truck between 1962 and 1966.
