I'm kinda feeling the orange covers. Besides, from what I've heard, from others who've bought crate engines, they damaged them taking them off because they use some kinda crazy strong glue and it's hard to get them off. Plus, the cost of having them chromed would be ridiculous!

    Your right, orange is good.

Looks balanced with just the right amount of alum. and Chevy orange.
    Looking good, Robert.

    Tpi=torque

The TPI setup should give you a nice fat torque curve down low where you use it everyday. IIRC, the total runner length is 22" (you sure don't get that out of a conventional intake). If those runners are siamesed (looks like they are) you get better high-RPM performance, while still retaining fat torque down low. Win-Win!

We'll still need to see that smoky burnout.

Looking good as is Robert. Maybe add some period correct decals for a retro contrast to the fuel injection?

Yes John but , I _did_ grease and adjust the crank so I can spin it faster now....

I was on a fairly new (2014) Work 'puter running Windows 7 .

I'm now on my old HP Laptop and will go try again as yesterday afer work I moved lots of crap off my back porch and found an un dented 194/230/250/292 rockerbox....

A long with a welter of other crap I'm about to go off and begin cleaning , de rusting and re painting...

I'll go re try that link right now in this 'puter .

    Rockerbox Decals

    O.K. ~ this time it worked ! .

Only a few 250 C.I.D. decals and none for 292.....

I think the " 250 TURBO - THRIFT " decal will look good in the back window lower corner too , going to buy two : one for the engine , one for the backlight :p .

Well... that was the plan for the past two weekends but its taking longer than I expected. I'm finding a lot of other things to address along the way, leaking reared seal & transmission speedo cable seal & other minor things. Had to run all new fuel pump & fuel lines to handle the additional pressure. Maybe this weekend.... we'll see.

Nah, no snow here, just cold! Have'nt done too much to the truck lately, had been waiting on some replacement fuel injectors. I was testing the lines and found that they weren't seating properly & leaking. They came in yesterday but I'm not sure when I'll get around to putting them in. This weekend is out for obvious reasons! Gotta keep mama happy! :D But hopefully it'll be done by the 7th. There's a group of us from another forum getting together for some BBQ!

    picture show...

Looking good! Robert, hope this one lasts forever. With what you've been through, you should never have even a bad plug wire.
