    That is absolutely fantastic that you were able to take her for a spin. The good Lord willing, I'll have a similar picture of my mom doing the same thing in a couple of years! (She'd be close to that age, also~)

    Thanks everyone. With all the happiness, came some disappointments. :(

    Sunday afternoon I made another short video of the truck, then my wife and I went for a ride. This was her first time in the truck since she helped steer it out of storage. We were getting so many waves going down the highway, it was fantastic. We were about a mile from my daughters place, when all of a sudden, I heard a light knocking. Pulled into my daughters, and the knocking was for sure coming for the 216.

    Monday a tow truck delivered it to my nephews shop. Upon inspection, found the the oil pickup screen fell off of oil pump, resulting in oil starvation of #4 connecting rod and Babbitt. I was very fortunate that no other damages resulted. Parts arrived and rebuild will be completed soon.

    I have a perfect running 216 from the 53 sitting in my garage taking up space.......
