I drive a 1997 extended cab Silverado and my wife ha a 2004 Tahoe with no major problems to speak of. On the silverado I replaced the intake gaskets, just the nature of the beast (vortec engines). It has enough power to pull me and my car trailer. Oh, and it's paid for. The Tahoe has been a great truck.
The 99 Tahoe is going strong. We just moved from Anchorage AK to Cocoa Beach FL. We towed a 26ft travel trailer behind it the whole way.
