I am looking at a GMC truck to purchase and I need help in determining what year this truck is.
The serial number is: 102 22 P 40011
I have been told it is a 1/2 Ton Long Bed, built in Pontiac, MI.
How do you determine the year model?

It looks like being production number 40011, it should be a 1952 model. Is this correct?

According to the table below from the 1939-1953 GMC Master Parts Book, your 102-22 P40011 is a 1952 model made at the Pontiac Michigan plant.
