Brake Line installation Hey Paul, I found some pretty good pictures of how I ran my brake lines. Here you go If I remember right, You did the front disc conversion. I have since done the same. The pic that shows the master cylinder has a residual valve in the line to the front brakes, which I removed when I installed the Disc brakes. The dual MC is for a '70 Mustang with front disc and rear drum brakes, and as such, has built in residual valves for both brake types. I've driven mine since the brake conversion, and it seems to brake just fine. (Manual, not power brakes). The front line is run across the rear of the cross member to prevent the brake line from being damaged if you hit something in the road.. I hope I haven't bored you with stuff you already know, but I'd rather tell something you know than skip something you need to know.
Nope that is great stuff there! Yes, mine has the disc front brakes, rear drum. I like the routing of your front brake lines. Original went to passenger side then up around the radiator support to the driver side wheel. The way you have it seems more straight forward. Thanks! Btw~ The dark spot on the edge of the cab, under the filler neck? Yeah~ that was me. I did that when I was loading the Colorado rear end into my car. I picked it up and was to busy worrying about the crap I had on the ground that I wasn't watching how close I was to my truck with the hubs. Next thing I knew, I had clocked my cab, putting a fair sized dent in my new paint job. Good thing I can fix that. HA! Happy Friday, all. My mom and dad are coming by to check it out tomorrow. Pictures don't do it justice, right? (not the dent, the paint job on the new parts...)
Has your Dad been involved any in your build? My Father-In-Law is the only one who has done much with me on mine. (My Dad passed away in June '09). I'm looking forward to being able to drive my truck back down to Corpus Christi area so my Father and Mother-in-Law can see the finished product. They've had both of my carcasses at their place since the beginning. I know your family will be happy with your progress!
I know my dad would absolutely l-o-v-e to help, but he's 92 and doesn't bend like he use to, so I am sure to ask his advice. He was a BIG help setting me straight on the wiring part as I tend to build tall, thick walls of ignorance about this subject. He pretty much gave me all his tools, as well. Those tools are my absolute pride and joy! I can't wait to hear of your trip to CC! You'll be causing wrecks all the way there and back as people will be too busy looking at that beautiful G instead of the road!

So I got off early and... This is what I got accomplished. BTW, if you want to install the inner/outer fender pieces by yourself, I would recommend that you <don't> install the headlamp bucket first. (I kinda thought it would make a great place to grab a hold of while installing. It also allows access to apply a socket to the bottom front bolts at the bottom of the radiator.) Anywho~ I kinda like the way the paint scheme worked out. It IS new and different, no?

Time!!! If I had more of that~ Tomorrow I spend most of the day helping with a Habitat for Humanity house, here in Pittsburg. By Monday afternoon, I should have the front end back on! God, that will be great!
