Hi everyone,

My '55 first series has the stainless trim moulding around the windshield and around the exterior of the window on the driver door. The passenger door is from a different truck and is shot and I am buying another from a recycler. The new door has painted trim.

Anyone know where to get the stainless trim as a repro?

Thanks,

Andy

AD Window Trim

I bought mine from some guy who salvages it off junker trucks , it was a bit beat up so I got it cheaper , he claimed it was " cherry " ~ I guess so if dents and _sanding_marks_ means cherry to you ! . he's on this list so beware of buying stuff without pictures .

My DeLuxe windshiled trims were sold as " junk , with bullet holes " from a really high doller vendor , what I received was faded and one dent like from a BB gun , I was only too happy to hand polish it up to chrime like and install as-is , I don't mind the dent and there was _NO_ ' bullet hole ' . this guy usually attaches the trims to a board and polishes up to Concours then gets over $500.00 (choke) for a set - too $pendy for my old work truck but I did want stainless steel window trims .

Going to auto swap meets is always good , I usually tape a piece of cardboard to my back with whatever I'm hunting for written on it as folks will deluge me with offers of stuff they thought was junk .

I find it's cheaper to buy a whole door with the stainless trim on it that it is to buy seperately...

Good luck hunting ! .

Repop Trims

Oh yeah ~ the few repop trims I've fitted over the years were inevitably too thin and bent or dented too easily
, never seen them for AD trucks yet .
