I am looking for a replacement for the parking brake rod for my '58. I have found one at (please forgive me for mentioning a competitor) Classic Industries at a reasonable price (http://www.classicindustries.com/1958/truck/parts/15145.html)

However, the description says this:
Stainless steel reproduction of the rod that runs from the emergency brake pedal, under the cab and connects to the pivot bar at the frame.

My truck has a hand pull instead of a pedal - did some of the 55-59's come with a foot pedal for the parking brake?

I have one of those rods that came off my '58, it is just like the one in the picture except it is used. You can have it if you will pay the shipping on it. My '58 had the hand pull e-brake so it should be the same as yours. Let me know if you want it.

You can leave me a message under the "private messages". Look at the upper right of the screen where it welcomes you. All I need is an address to send it to, when it gets there you can see how much it cost to send it to you, my address will be on the package. Or if you are brave enough you can put an address on this thread. Either way you will get the rod. I am glad to help other truck owners and anything I have concerning the trucks is either free or extremely cheap.

Just got back from our local UPS store. Your rod is on its way. Supposed to be there Wednesday. I will send you a private message with the costs of shipping.

UPS claims the rod was delivered to you about 1:00 PM Wednesday. Hope it arrived in good shape.

Hi there 58 Fleetside. Just thought I would say hi and that I have the exact same truck.
