"26 Horsepower" Is that correct? That's not many ponies for a dump truck.

The 26 horsepower was probably the SAE (taxable) horsepower rating. My '57 GMC 347 V8 had a SAE (taxable) rating of 49.6 horsepower. Sales flyers said it had 207 HP.
