Put drain in bed?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep water from pooling up in the bed of their truck; besides keeping it in the garage

Every time it rains I collect about 6" of rain in the bed of my truck against the cab.

I was thinking of using a brass or chrome floor drain.

Any other suggestions?

Park on a hill!! Throw a trap over it, Lift kit in the front, lower the back Kilroy was here!!!!

could drill a few small holes up front, similar to how new truck beds are done.

I put cross grooves what runs from the main groove to the out side for to drain the water you don't see the grooves its coverd by the steel strips.

thanks for all the suggestions, I think I'll try the grooves, since I am thinking of replacing the floor of the anyways-guess all the years of water collecting have rotted it away .

I would park on a hill, but then I would have to fix my parking brake

My truck sits on a rake and water pooled in the front, so I drilled a half inch hole in the very forward end of each angle strip where the bed wall joins the floor. I then used a 45 caliber bore mop to thoroughly swab Zero Rust paint into the hole, protecting both the metal from rust and the wood from swelling. Now when I wash the truck all the water drains out within minutes and the holes are almost undetectable unless you are looking for them. This wouldn't look too cool on a show truck but mine actually gets used.

I also use my truck, and I don't think a couple holes would look too bad--not any worse than the wood rotting at the cab.
