One of my dads friends used to have a 1977 CHevy 1 Ton. I was just wondering if you guys could help me figure out the paint color because I want to paint my truck that color. It looks like a rusty, dirty brown. Its not too dark or shiny. Some people may call it '70s dirt brown. Thanks

I can get the color for you... I work at a bodyshop and I'll look in the 1974 color chip manual for you... I should have a reply by Tuesday or Wednesday

I've seen some years of 73-87 Chevy trucks painted a gorgeous red color, sort of like Porsche's "Guard's Red" and it appears to be OEM, but I have NO clue what year etc it is stock for. Can ANYONE help me find out what color that is? Thanks!

simply "candy red" usually if u look in the glove box it will tell ya. i just recently got my truck painted that color...its came out awesome...

Gentlemen, go to www.autocolorlibrary.com and you can view the specific years color chips online there. Match your color, and get the code at same time. HTH
