Real GM part?

Ok guys,just bought what was listed as nos part off of ebay.It's the driver door handle for a 86.Part number 6272581 on gm box.My question is shouldn't the handle have a gm part # on it?Or at least a gm mark or something?I'm thinking that it's a repop in a gm box.How can I tell for sure?

Good question ! .

Most GM parts have the part number casted in somewheres , often very poorly done .

As I've not had mine off yet , I can't advise . pix would help the guys who know this stuff dead bang , ID it for you .

I can post a pic later if needed.I was thinking someone would know right off if the gm # is always on these handles.Th only markings on it are 583A LH.
