rear hub seal 1948 chevy 3/4 truck

I have a rear hub seal that will not seal. I bought the truck friend who restored it in 2000. Before he died, we replaced it at least 3 times. I have replaced it 2 time I replaced it about 1000 miles ago and is leaking again. Any suggestions to stop it from leaking

Maybe there's a groove worn where the li of the seal rides ? .

If so a "Speedie - Sleeve" will set you right .

I'm assuming there's zero up / down play in the axle end ? .
