    A Word About Police

    Boopster's Dad :

I usta - did work in L.A.P.D. and boy , they were under the gun 24/7 it seems.

As far as a few ' bad pennies ' :

    1923 : new Cop to old Cop : ' why doesn't anyone like Joe ? '

Old cop to rookie : because he's " On The Take " and we have no respect for a bad Cop '

2006 : New Cop To old Cop : why doesn't anyone like Joe ? '

    Old Cop to Rookie : ' because , he's not " On The Take " and we don't respect a stupid Cop ' .

It's really not all the bad but if you work in the gutter all day long with scum and your managment isn't behind you and in fact is always on the lookout to trip you up , you're not going to have the best outlook on life , shall we say .

L.A. has one of the lowest Police to Citizen ratios in America so I'm pretty damned proud of our boys in Blue .

Next time anyone here wants to bad mouth a Cop , remember to -not- call on them for help when a crackhead jacks your truck .

Oops , ranting again , not really sorry this time tho' .

I've found that plain old peer pressure will straighten out many ' bad pennies '
and I'm not allowed to be sworn due to physical issues sadly .

FWIW , I wasn't always a stand up citizen like I am now and it took the finest in Blue of several cites and counties across America to take the time to beat the crap out of me untill I finally wised up and guess what ? I have NO problems with Cops anymore , no matter where I am nor what I'm doing .

Mr. King should have learned this simple lesson and would have saved all of us much grief .
