Patience , Grasshopper These things take time . The guy you're talking to , may have watched to many stupid TV Shows and thinks the $100 junker he scored , will be his ticket to riches . It sounds like junk to me , this isn't a problem as the 235 is mighty hard to kill ~ First thing you needs do is go look at it and get your hands dirty , if it's stuck , it's a $50 core , period . you don't want to overhaul / rebuild one , correct ? .
Nate... you make it sound like good usable 235 motors w/good cores are just laying on the side of the road.... free for the taking Don't know where these mythical $100 235's are but..... Good luck finding a 50-60 year old used 235 that does not already have a cracked head or cracked block or already bored out .80 over with scored cylinder walls & a crankshaft that has been turned 6 times already.
hahah thank you. i can always throw a 150 dollar cam shaft into if from patricks outta case grande but then ill still have a 216. my plan is get the ruck runnin and driving and enjoy it and then decide. i really want to put an s10 frame under it. or just get it low/bagged
You're Wrong As they're out there , Joe's just miffed because I'm sharing Shop Secrets . If Skeeter just bothered trying instead of giving up , he'd see .
who said i gave up? 235 motors are not live v6s and all over craigslist. got to remember im an hour and a half from tucson and thats the closest "big city" its only been a week, i have a few leads
Your welcome, I did not read the whole ad, I see where he is asking a little much for it. The color under the white will look good once finished.
the truck was blue and at some point someone painted it white, so some laquire thinner and some scrubbin and taaa-daa
applebees decided to give me 5 days off, but a really smal ant bit my finger and my hand looks like a blown up rubber glove but was able to work on the truck today painted the grille and assembled it. no custom paint job or custom grille but itll work dad let me push the truck into the shop and we began tearin the motor apart. buddy of mine says he has a motor i can have for parts too.. so im not gettin excited yet but hmm
see whats inside. ive got a lil game plan goin no the white paint was painted around the door sign-age and i just didnt scrub it off becuase its kinda neat. says "steamboat excavation" ive goggled that name and a lot of steamboat SPRINGS construction crews come up tho. but something is painted on the drivers side door above the signage. all i can make out is C.W. and then thats it. looks like it was brushed on
