Some Advise needed, for a novice

I am replacing the grill support / backing on my 64 Chevy truck and have already pulled the bumper ,as of now. Looking around the front end lots of rust bolts and American steel. Before I dig in , what is the best way to approach this dismantling of the front of this . What is the tricks to access some of these grill mounts . Seeing square nuts and limited access .

The good news is I found a nice original replacement at the scrap yard for 100.00 bucks.

Soak all bolts down with PB blaster rust penetrant, do this several times in a week before attempting to loosen, the square nuts as you call the are caged nuts, the bolts will be on the other side. Be patient when working them loose, if they tend to tighten up as they come out turn them back in and try again, you may have to repeat that step several times.

The grille bolts are accesible from the front wheel openings, it bolts from the back.

thanks guys, got most of the bolts off, so much road grime in those wheel wells tough to get the socket attached. Patience and liquid wrench are going fast.

the new grill support, freshly painted grill, see my profile pic of the original bent / bondoed support. No evidence of front end damage to truck, but that old grill support was dis-figured for sure.
