Spray On Truck Bed

Hi,
I am looking into putting a spray on truck bed in my 74. I have been searching around for them and have found companies that do that, but you have to bring in your truck so they can do it for you. That costs a lot of money...around $350. What I wanted to know was if there is any company that sells the mixture that you can spray on yourself. My friend had done this to his truck and said that it was only around $50 for a bucket of the mixture. Does anyone know a company that does this or where I can buy it? Please help.

In Albany, NY, Ziebart "gooped" on the Rhino Linings on my '54 pickup bed (the wood was removed). They did a terrible job - and it was expensive. If you want the lurid details, let me know.

Most auto paint supply dealers sell a two-part spray/roll/brush on coating. Eastwoods also sells a similar product. I would now do it myself.

I have a '74 shortbox. How much of that do you think I need to do the bed of my truck.

They say 32 sq ft per at 5 mil - two or more kits for most beds.

Eastwoods has another product "Professional Grade Tintable Bedliner". This one is urethane and the one above is epoxy. It is listed in their catalog but is not listed on-line.

I used the $19.99 can type roll on liner stuff from Wal-mart to dampen noise in my cab. I put it under the vinyl floor covering and it worked great! I put it on with the .99 cent nap roller they also sold. Since then we did a friends truck bed. It did take 2 cans but 40.00 is better than 350.00! Wal mart has it in the auto isle.
