I was going to say he's not eccentric then I thought about my old car parts stash & decided maybe not  .

    6 Volt Starter

    THANK YOU JERRY ! .

Adding a price would have been good along with where it's located as these things are heavy and $pendy to ship .

    Old boy running again

I got my starter back from the rebuilder and he did a terrific job. Replaced the armature and rebuilt the rest including new gear and all moving parts. I did buy a second used one as a back up that I will rebuild.

    Oooo , Purty *BUT* ~

I don't see the battery ground cable going to the bell housing like it needs to...

I am sure it's too short so just order up a 0 gauge one that's long enough to reach the bell housing where that ground strap is bolted and attach it there , keep the ground strap too .

Battery ground cable *MUST* be connected directly to the tranny or bell housing else it'll chew up that rebuilt starter .

    Battery Cables

No ~ you need the battery's ground cable to be connected from the - post of the battery , directly to the tranny or bell housing and it must be a minimum of 0 gauge .

Connect it to the same bolt you're now using on the ground strap .

Battery ground cables must always be connected to the drive train , not to the frame or body . this minor detail is very important .
