Based on the advertisements and what I see at shows there are a lot of people swapping out the old column for a new one. I am looking for a stock steering column, wheel, and other front end parts near Pittsburgh, PA.

the 55-56 steering column will interchange with the 57-59 but the 55-56 are longer than the 57-59 steering column.
also the 55-56 wheel is shallower than the 57-59 wheel to make up for the difference in column length
if your a fat guy like me. you can put a 55-56 wheel on a 57-59 column and it gives you about 3 more inches of belly room.
what year is it gioing in? 3 speed, 4 speed, hydromatic. chevy or GMC?
