Tom:

I have factory tachometers in my 1966 C-10 and 1966 K-10. I am not familiar with a tach filter. The two wires from the back of the tach are attached to the negative lead on the coil and the fuse panel. I have factory points ignitions on both trucks, so maybe that's the diffence. Please send me a personal e-mail at [email protected] regarding parts. I am interested in knowing what you have but can't do it on this post due to posting rules. Thanks.

Filters are usually recommended by after-market Tach vendors when using high output performance coils.
