Sorry its been a few days but work is crazy. (air con guy and its very hot over here which is rare!!!!)

I posted a request for help with gearbox bearings a few posts back and you guys delivered. Cant say how chuffed I am with that. I mean it from the heart of my bottom.

Yes a kit is on its way, just gotta sort out that worn out six banger and the cab and the wiring and and and.............

P.S little note when are you guys gonna get the date right, its 21/7/06 not 7/27etc the day always comes first!

I dunno if you're aware of it but those ' worn out ' 6 - bangers can easily be made to run quite well , even if smoky and noisy......

I've had some really beat 216's & 235's doing Yeoman service over the years , all were reliable daily work trucks back when they weren't worth rebuilding .

You know what, ive got a brand new F**d Focus, got all the extras and its like eaing a big mac an coke, jus plain boring! yes its comfortable, good sound system, a/c blah blah bla zzzzzzzzzzzzz

But i tell you what, its got no soul!!!

My ol' patina'd 50 on the other hand, even though she's not finished, is alive, she has a soul, and i cant wait to drive her, with all her squeeks and rattles, and that smell of old car, the one that reminds me of a time when cars were built for people, not for some corporate, public research, dollar budgeting white collared, faceless nobody who's idea of a drive is to get there quick, without seeing or smelling anything, at exactly room temperature, with some bland manufactured band playing on the eleven speaker 100 watt stereo.

Yes i do know what you mean when you say smokey and noisey! and i LOVE it!!!!

and its still 27/7
