tire clearance and fit

Im A newbie , just purchased a 72 stepside C10 with leaf spring rear , can anyone tell me if a 15 x 10" torque thrust wheel with a 295 50 15 tire will fit under the rear fender without protruding? ( its lowered by about 4")

I do believe you'll need a lot more backspacing to center a 15x10 wheel in a '72.

Your best bet though is to take off the rear tires and measure what you clearances are, make a sketch and then you can do the math and figure out what you need. Something like this...
