Anyone found a tonneau for a later model Chevy truck that will fit a 58/59 Fleetside longbed? I am hoping that there is someone out there that has found a regular production run that will fit. Failing this, any and all suggestions welcome. Best regards, David Inner dimensions W = 65"/L = 96"
tonneau for a '58 Fleetside longbed - what works In my search for a tonneau cover, most companys do not list a cover for the '58/59 Fleetside longbed. as the model is relatively rare. But by chance, I came across an '85 Scottsdale 20 longbed and the inside bed dimensions are virtually identical to my '58. The bedside rails are nearly the same width, and the stake pocket holes are in the same place. I took a chance and ordered a tonneau from Extang (Black Max) for a '73-87 Chevy/GMC longbed (8') and it fit like a glove. I assume this would be the case for tonneaus made by other manufacturers. No need to have a custom built tonneau as a regular production run is available. Nice to have the stars line up occasionally. Best regards, DrD.
