tranny fluid question

    hey everyone ive got a question i need a lil help on, i have a 93 chevy z71 with the 4l60e tranny. i am just about ready to put the tranny back in, i had to get a new torque converter :( my question is exactly how much fluid should i put back in it, ive been told to put a couple quarts in the converter before i put it all back in but im not sure how much total to put in it. any help will be appreciated

    Just pour a quart into the converter before installing. Also rub some on the collar so you don't tear a seal installing it. After the tranny is in fill it until the dipstick says it's full. With the engine running put the tranny through all the gears and then back into park. Check fluid level and repeat. I would reccomend having at least 6 quarts on hand when getting her ready.
