Yes if you want the over drive to work like factory.

Thank, I have heard both ways and was wondering.Most people I know use 350 so I was the guinea pig for the 700r4

I want to put a 700r4 in my 58 apache V8.
Can anyone give me some clues where to look for and any pitfalls to look out for.
lenght of the driveshaft
best year of transmission to use
with or without the crossmember
best rear axle ratio.
and also which chevy van steeringcolumn is best for this truck.
If you know a build of this sort
