Ventilating one car garage

Remember how nasty exhaust smelled back when they first started putting catalytic converters on cars back in the 70's? Like rotten eggs as I recall.
Yeah I remember. I also remember guys knocking the "plug" out of the converters and shaking the "beads"out of them, then, punching the fill hole larger so as to run leaded gas.

I also remember dad buying "ethyl" gasoline and it smelled good.

Not that I was a gas-sniffing little kid.:D

HA!!!
This has been an enlightening thread~
From the sounds of things, you sure you want to ventilate that there garage, Steve? ;)

Thanks all

Thanks all. I am installing the attached, I do want to add a screen to keep insects out. The fan is 1020 thermostatically controlled. Thanks for the entertaining dialogue.

The system should work out great also insulating and putting up drywall will help winter and summer.

Keeping the electrical outlets above 18 inches will help with the gas fumes setting anything off.

This week I will install fan. I am not worried about fumes as this is purely a storage garage for chevelle and trike. All work is done in main garage. Thanks all

Um......

Denis ;

As a Submariner I might mention the Diesel Boat battery storage has the same characteristics....

Be safe here ! flammable liquids and electricity in a closed area is a dangerous thing .
