Didn't take me long to get back to asking questions!
I have hooked up everything that I am aware of to get a signal back to my volt meter in the dash but I am missing something. I have included a sketch to kind of show what I have but not sure how the signal gets back to gauge. The fusable link has me confused as well and do not know where to put it, I am sure I can pick one up at the parts store.

Help:confused:

Are you using a volt meter or amp gauge...? Volt meter is tied into any switched circut ( with ignition switch on ) and a ground.

It's a volt meter and yes that is what I thought and I had it tied into a hot wire but not at the ignition. Guess I will try that and see if that will solve the problem.

Volt Meter

You can tie it in anywhere there's switched 12 volts .

Remember to wire the radio live so you can listen to it with the key off .

Voltage Gauge

Finally got it through my thick head that the thing was bad. Ordered a new one and all is good on the home front. It is on to the brake glitch that I need to figure out.
