Possibly a pump/ coolant circulator? Has a 110 plug. Necessary or add on?

Coolant water heater !

Yes that looks like a coolant heater wich is offcourse an ad on. Truck might have been used in colder areas. Can you see what brand it is , some closeup pictures please !

kinda what i thought. may bypass it for now and clean it up before next winter hits. would a modern block heater be abit more efficent?
 
Coolant Heaters

This one will prolly use le$$ electrical current....

Having that extension cord too hot to touch isn't a good thing .

I prefer coolant heaters to oil pan heaters .

Freeze plug coolant heaters about but often begin weeping coolant in a few years .

Best of all is the fast heater out put inn the winter plus , smoother running and less choke means le$$ fuel used / wasted....
