What you have is a 1987 R10. It's exactly like a C10 from previous years, they just changed the letters. (for no reason at all).
Second of all, your 87 is the first year for fuel injection in Chevy trucks.
Third, if you are looking for parts, you'll want to find something that says C10 or 1/2 ton pickup.
The "Sierra" part of it is the trim level:
If it's a Sierra, it's the base model
If it's a High Sierra, it's the next level up
If it's a Sierra Classic, it's the highest trim, or the "luxury trim"
I'm not sure what the CONV stands for - I think it may be "Conventional Cab" If it's a 2 door cab. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's it, because right around then, they had come out with the extended 4-door cab. So, that's what CONV is for - Conventional Cab
