    So far so good.

Thanks for the update Charles. That carb solution looks very good. I`ll hope the oil leakage does`nt give you to much issues.I am a bit curious what the problem is ? Maybe its only the cover gasket that needs changed ?

    Thanks for sharing Martinius.

    Martinius,
The oil issue is a little more than the valve cover, it is the rear main that is leaking the leak at the block and head looks just like Joe had stated earlier. The engine builder told me he used the neoprene seal on the rear, I think he used a medium or higher pressure oil pump because of the hydraulic lifters which were used and that is what has cause the leaks it has. I have read elsewhere on the net that by putting in the higher pressure oil pumps it causes oil leaks later. Right now the truck is running really good it is a little rich but that will change tomorrow.

Thanks for explaning this to me Charles! But do you really need to take the top of or will it be anough to change out the pump or tighten (torque) the top bolts ?

    Oil Pressure & Leaks

I'm sure you can reduce the overall oil pressure by tweaking the pressure relief valve's spring , no ? .

To lean it out a bit , just lower the float a tiny bit ~ works like a charm .

I hope to make the Brother's Show , I need to empty out the bed , remove the ratty plywood covering the oak and wash it .

I'm choking to death on the oil fumes so I'll have to drive with all the windows & vent wings open .

If I can , I hope to park with the C/10 club ~ those are really nice guys .

    Martinius,

I kept the white rims on also bought another rim and tire for the other side.

Also because of the fiasco of the oil lines busting with oil being everywhere through the clean up I have found so far all the leaks.
The side cover has a pin hole in it also it was loose and letting oil out at the very back where it is hard to see anything. Me having to power wash everything let me see a trail of oil I never had seen before. The pin hole has super glue in it for right now will get it tig welded later on.
