will 81 - 87 front end fit on 78 gm

i'm interested in converting front sheetmetal from 81 thru 87
on my 78 truck. would use the whole clip. will all mounting points work?? newer fenders, fenderwells, core support to older frame
mounting points. also all wiring connections. any help, please.

All the mounting points will work for the fenders and core support. The one problem is that you need to cut the cab a little bit to fit the rear hood hinges and cowl. I think the wiring harness will be the same if you go with single headlights, otherwise you'll need one for dual headlights.

The holes you need to cut for the hood hinges are going to be 1.5" x 4.5" and should be 31.5" from the center, about 1.5" back from the front of the firewall.
