Wooden bed

Hi I'm looking at a Chevy C10 from 1965.
The truck has a steel bed, but I would like a truck with a wooden bed. Anyone knows if it is posible to change the steel bed with a wooden one? and how should it been done?

You can change back to wood, might take some serious effort though depending on how secure the previous owner fastened his steel deck.

You should find another truck with a wooden bed and have a close look (take some pictures for future reference) then compare with your situation and see what the best approach is to cut out the steel (angle grinder) and reinstate the support channels for the wood bed.

You could also "cheat" and put wood over the steel bed. I saw a kit somewhere online where you could put wood over a late model truck's steel bed.
