Did you know that the Zenith model 28 carb used on GMC 6 cylinder engines from '46 to '62 is still being made (now model 228)? That and a load of other data about these carbs is available here: http://www.zenithfuelsystems.com/documents/RR15P68-71.pdf
Good news ! Too bad they neglected to post the list price of this carby . I'm of mixed mind about adjustable main jets , few know how to twiddle them correctly . I *do* like this carby , it has many nice details like a float bowl drain plug for easy field service...
Zenith 228 Carb. Bill thanks fore this thread.Great news that they still produce these and a nice dual setup to. Is there any pricelist availeble ? Martinius
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Called the nearest distributor listed on Zenith's web site and gave them the Zenith number of the model 28 carb on a 55.2 1/2 ton (Zenith 0-11779). They crossed it to a currently available model 228 carb (Zenith 0-14275) that they would be happy to sell to me for SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! They want $62 for a kit (Zenith # K2002) for the original carb. Ouch!
