My cab was a shell, so I've had to find every part. This is the window glass guide near the handle, I can't seem to find the right size screw that fits. I assume it will be a tapered flat head, but what size thread and how long? Thanks

In Oroville , just go buy some mangled old Big 'Bolt doors , they'll have all the screws you need....
Cheap too as no one wants those doors with big holes where the multiple West Coast mirror screws ripped out .
The original screws were clutch head typ , button head .
I'm sure Joe will happily sell you as many as you need....

Just put bear claw latches in a 51 yesterday and I think the two bottom screws were #10x1". The top screw in the dimple was a #8x1/2". If the screws won't thread in easily drop one size or if they fit loosely go up one size. Use Phillips screws in the dimple and you can grind the head thin enough it doesn't bump out the felt channel. If there is any of the + at all left in a Phillips screw the screw driver will grip it.

Was that your 1st set of bear claw latches Evan? What do you think of them? I love mine, especially the sound the door makes when you gently close it.

For shame Bill, we were using bear claw latches for 20 years before anyone had ever heard of "Altman" or "Tricke". On many of the installs back then we put the striker peg on the door and the latch assembly in the door pillar. This was so that if the latches were the solenoid type they would be stationary in the door making both the wires and the emergency release cable much easier to install. Here is a shot of each type, one pillar mounted latch, one door mounted latch. Using junkyard donors made it a two or three day job so yes, the Altman set up is the way to go.
