Hey all, I have a 228 gmc engine and I need to find the two springs that connect to a pin on the block to the accelerator pedal linkage under the manifold area. Thanks
Might be a couple of days before I can get to it. My daughter is coming to stay until Tuesday. Thanks
Thank you bill for doing that. I really appreciate itFirst, let me say that I have no idea if my springs are original equipment, but the pressure required on the gas pedal seems reasonable to me.

Just what I needed. I’m ordering springs from McMaster Carr now Thanks again for getting me the information bill When ever I get back through Texas I owe you a few beers.Forgot to put it in my earlier post. The spring wire was 0.055" diameter on both springs.
Post up the McMaster-Carr PNs you used, especially if they worked well for you? Thanks!Just what I needed. I’m ordering springs from McMaster Carr now Thanks again for getting me the information bill When ever I get back through Texas I owe you a few beers.
Sorry so long before I could get back to you. Before I got on the phone to McMaster I decided to go to ace hardware and matched up some springs from their supply of springs. I didn’t get the number but they are easy to match as close as you can for pull strength and size. They are ALOT cheaper too. Cost me about 5 bucksPost up the McMaster-Carr PNs you used, especially if they worked well for you? Thanks!
