replacing bed floor

    I'm working on a 53 chevy truck bed i purchased a bed wood kit.I like to know if they start with the wide boards and go narrow.

    "Ol' Chebby" did a build with step by step instructions and photos. It is now a 'sticky', (one of the 3 threads that are always at the top of the forum). It's 'How to assemble an AD". A lot of us go to this thread repeatedly to learn what to do, or see how something goes. Russ did a superb job with the instructions.

    One more time:
    Measure between the holes on the rear bed crossmember, the one where the boards fit down onto a little shelf. This will give the board widths, positions, and number of boards needed even if a different year bed has been put on the truck.
