fuel pump install 235

is there a rod that may fall down when the old fuel pump is removed? i've put the new one on without checking and it went on ok. haven't tried to turn over the engine yet . just wondering.

The rod you are worrying about is a Chevy V8 thing.

I believe the pump works off of a concentric straight off the crank, no rod.

The fuel pump runs off the cam shaft. If you want or need a pump with higher pressure you can use a big block Chevy pump. It's the same bolt pattern and pump arm configuration only you install it upside down...Big Tim

Wouldn't that cause gas to flow the wrong way???
