Just purchased a 1969 Chevy CST long box . I have 6 bolts axles in the rear. I want to covert to 5 bolts and was told that I can swap axles from a 1972 straight across and have 5 bolts . Has any one done this ? Thanks Rod

Yes it can be done quite easly. I took the cross member from a 85 and bolted it over to my 66 . It fits the frame fine.just have to drill a couple of extra holes. I like this method because the A-arm and everything transfer without modifcations. As well as front end alinement. Kilroy was here!!!!!

Found It It seems you need to run the starting system thru the horn relay. I hooked you the hot from the battery to the horn relay and whalaa problem solved

Red oak can move as much as 1/8 " Especially when exposed to the elments , Be sure to seal all 4 sides of each board it will help.Have you ever seen a bed where the boards have bowed up and made an ugly hump . Kilroy was here!!!
