Awesome good of course. I usually spend most of my money at the sponsers store but I had a special need and found the wider rear glass fenders on a featured truck in classic truck magazine.
I bought my 2.5 inch wider rear fenders from Superior Glass Works.

They offer steel parts for 47-53 Chevys also.
My glass fenders and running boards are AWESOME!
When I go to put the door handle back on the outside of the door, what is the secret to getting the screw tightened. This latch has less range of motion than the original setup. I cannot turn the handle down far enough to tighen the screw. Any thoughts anyone?
Other than that... BEAUTIFUL!!
Im running a 3 inch dropped axle. We modified the steering arms ourselves by adding a section to them to acheive some clearance between the tie rod and the leaf springs.
Definately lower and a little tricky to drive. I need shocks badly.
YES!!
This looks like the cure to most frustrating aspect of my truck, getting the doors to latch without the brutal slam that turns everyones head in the crowd. Very embarrasing.
New door latches just aren't the answer. Have not found one that works as it should.
As you can see I have some really deep whells on the rear of the truck. We miscalculated the offset of the rim. I would rather just send the rims back have the centers moved about .5 of an inch but my friend cobuilder didn't like the results when he did that with another set.
Classic trucks...
Has anyone put (2-3 inch) wider fenders on their 47-54 truck? I think I am about to go for it. Will have to go with the flared running boards also.
If anyone has do you have a picture?
