1953 and 54 hoods

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum and have a question that needs to be answered. My brother is restoring a 1954 3100. He is in need of a replacement hood. New '54 hoods are very hard to find. Can he use a '53 hood? Will it fit as far as the cowl and everything else? Or is there a difference between the '53 and '54 that they are not interchangeable?
