what is the differance between long and short and where do you measure?

Just measure from the front bed panel to the tailgate, if it's about 6 foot it's a shortbed. The short beds have two stake pockets on each side and long beds have three. Lastly, if it's really ugly, it's a longbed ,(like mine).
