Dual Carburetors

I put dual carburetors on my truck and took it to a shop to have them adjusted all the guy did is adjust the air screw and said that they were good he didn't even drive it but he didn't charge me any thing. So i drove it back home and the truck dose not have any power it did not want to get over 35 mph with my foot to the floor. The plugs are set at .040" the timming it set with the ball on the pointer I have electronic ignition system on it. Do I need to take it to another shop and have the rejet the carburetors both carburetors were rebuilt.

I never had any luck trying to set multiple carbs with both functioning. There is a tool called Uni-Syn that is not expensive and has good instructions. With it you could tune your carbs anytime you felt the need. Google Uni-Syn and get the info on one. Basically it sets on top of one carb and has a flow meter like gauge with a small ball and graduations and measures what is happening with the OTHER carb as you adjust it. You then switch it to the other carb and adjust it to the same setting as the first one. We must have used one on thousands of Corvairs.

Multi - Carby Adjusting

Remember : when you're adjusting them @ idle , they *must* be disconnected from each other....
