I now have three 8v batteries, two from neighbors tractors, that need charging and the charger down the road at the truck repair shop is 24v. Any reason I shouldn't hook the three 8v in series and charge with a 24v charger? Thank you; Evan
I prefer to do paralell charging as one weak battery in a series circuit can cause you to have a really bad day .
I work in shops so old , they have battery charging benches ~ these are cement steps leading no where with two old insulated pipes bolted to the wall above and lots of dangly wires , each one with a polarity marked clip , makes it super easy to charge batteries in parallel , faster on and off plus more accurate charging and testing .
Go with whatever is familiar and safe to you Evan .
