I have a 1970 C10 350 V8 fleetside shortbed. Can anyone tell me if there will be any problems arising if i were to relocate my gas tank to the top of the bed? Can i just be able to extend my fuel line and electrical wiring and connect it to the sending unit without running into any more problems? I need some advice on this before starting this project. Will i be messing with pressure or having to replace the fuel pump?

Fuel tank can be anywhere you want it. During the "gas shortage" in the early 70's they sold a lot of tool boxes where the top 6 inches held tools and the bottom held thirty gallons (or more) gas or diesel. Many farm trucks have a bed mounted tank that is for both the truck and also has a hand pump to fill tanks on other equipment.

The tool box / tank idea sounds intriguing .

I know it's safer to put it underneath but my in cab one works fine......

If I get hit and burn to death , remind me then I was an idiot .
