Help a Brit day!

brake rod thingy

Start shopping, I think I have the little sucker. Now if I can get this pic on the site. It's off the right side and they would be side specific. Deck of cards is for size reference.

There are tears running down my face, at last, the holy grail, 9th wonder of the world, the cure for all ill's, my long journey is finally over, praise be to Coilover! you ARE my god! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I thought I was going bonkers! this was becoming a mythical part, like hens teeth, rocking horse sh*te and an honest president/prime minister!

YES! that is the part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and its all I dreamed it would be and more! its beautifull, Helen of Troy pale by comparison, a true treasure.

A lump came up in my throat when i saw the pic Coilover, not only because of the part but the fact you had used a period pack of cards as a backdrop, so thoughtfull of you, Im touched.

Well & good , that's the part pictured in the Obsolete Chevy catalog I was telling you about .

So hopefully you'll soon have a functional parking brake ! .

Just remember : never , ever trust it alone to hold your truck on a hill.....:eek:

Always cramp wheels to the curb and leave tranny in 2nd. gear , never 1st.

Obtw :

Where's this message ?

I got a notification of this but I don;t see it here on the Chevy Duty board...?:confused:

I'm still wondering why I don't see where _you_ posted all the smiley faces...? :confused:

Don't ever apologize , that's what they're there for :D

I see .

My but your reply was fast ~ don't you ever do any work :rolleyes:

Just funnin' ya ! :D

Work = Life No ?

Maybe .

If it works for you then no .

I love my work , to-day I was off on my own time so I picked up my wrenches and had at it , what a great day ~ up to my elbows in a rusty old
Mercedes 350SLC , replaced all the wheel bearings , de-rusted the trunk floor (now has equal amounts of holes and tin) , ripping out the DPO's bodge job of vacuum hoses (I finally finagled some factory cheat sheets) and got it so's I can turn the heater on & off from _inside_ the car rather than popping the hood each time :o

A few other " Might As Wells " tossed in for good measure and found a new (good !) choke & puke down in skid row whilst out chasing parts on my Kooky Kommie motorbike...

See ? it all depends on how you aproach your work :D

Have a good , no a GREAT weekend all !

I'm O.K. there ~ I did some figuring last week and if I make all my house payments I'll have it paid off anout 5 months before I retire...

My plan is to continue making those principal payments though as one never knows what'll happen to-morrow . :confused:

I gotta be carefull, this truck is becoming a bit of an obsession, the houshold bills are being paid AFTER the truck parts have been bought! not a good idea, but i suppose i could live in the truck, thats if I get it done before the bank takes my house! damn you chevrolet! lol

Well now ;

That all depends....

Those who own P-vans and panel trucks might argue that point...;)

Hell , I've slept in the bed of many a pickup truck , not this one as the wood is all greasy from the work it does but many times I've drifted off looking up at the stars above... :)

Home to-day , Jr. is stuffing yet another engine into his Miata racecar :rolleyes:

Be good fellas .

Always remember that you can live in your truck, but you can't drive your house.
